Malthus' theory explains the dangers of over population aying that if human population was allowed to increase in an uncotrollable way then the number of people would increase in a faster rate than the food supply, so eventually population would reach a point in which food sources could not support it and any further increase would lead to a population a crash caused by natural phenomena like famine or disease.
